2nd Annual Regional Faculty Development Summit
March 14 - 15, 2015
Building on the momentum of the May 2014 meeting of faculty development professionals from the region, we wish to invite you to this special summit to extend the conversations, make progress on significant work, and broaden our network of collaboration and support.
The Regional Faculty Development Summit is designed for anyone involved in professional development of faculty, including:
- Professionals working in or associated with teaching and learning centers such as Instructional Designers, Instructional Technologists, Faculty Fellows, Directors, Assistant and Associate Directors, and Graduate and Undergraduate Student Assistants;
- Faculty Development Committee members; and
- Graduate Students in related fields.
The Summit begins at 1 p.m. on Saturday, March 14th and concludes the following day at 1 p.m. Through the Summit registration process, you will identify topics that are important to you or in which you have expertise or experience. We will use this information to plan a portion of our time together. The Summit will also offer a refreshing break from the typical conference format by creating time and space for participants to plan and facilitate just-in-time roundtable discussions and working sessions, thereby utilizing the faculty development expertise found within our regions.
This event has been scheduled in connection with the Equity Within the Classroom Conference to be held March 15-17 at the Crowne Plaza Hotel. For additional information about this conference, we invite you to visit the conference site.
The Regional Faculty Development Summit utilizes a break-even financial model for costs associated with the conference center room rentals and food. Registration costs are:
- Faculty and staff: $125
- Students: $80
